The Christian conservative group American Family Association has altered the title and content of an Associated Press story to fit its anti-gay agenda.

According to a posting on, the AFA altered an AP title from Pentagon to Outline Training for Gay Ban Repeal to Military to Unveil Homosexual Indoctrination Plan.

The group also added quotation marks around the word “gay” in the story, which talks about the Pentagon's Friday unveiling of its plan on how it will proceed on implementing repeal of “Don't Ask, Don't Tell,” the 17-year-old law that bans gay and bisexual troops from serving openly.

Congress approved repeal of the law last month but implementation won't happen until President Obama and top Pentagon officials certify that the military is ready for the change.

The AFA's Bryan Fischer had urged Congress not to repeal the law.

He told his radio audience in May that Adolf Hitler was gay and specifically recruited gay soldiers to carry out his most vicious attacks because straight men were not brutal enough.
