Carrie Fisher has suggested that John
Travolta's sexual orientation is an open secret.
The 54-year-old actress best known for
her portrayal of Princess Leia in the original Star Wars
trilogy was bluntly asked about Travolta's alleged gay dalliances by
gay
glossy The Advocate.
Gawker.com
received a 5-page letter from Travolta's lawyer Marty Singer
after the
site published claims made by Robert Randolph in his self-published
memoir You'll
Never Spa In This Town Again. The allegations have also
appeared in tabloids the National Enquirer and the Star.
Randolph claims he's witnessed Travolta
involved in Los Angele's “secret gay spa subculture.”
“I know you and Travolta go way back,
so let's get really blunt here: Does his legal team have any business
demanding Gawker remove a recent post suggesting that he's given blow
jobs?” Brandon Voss asked.
“Wow!” Fisher replied. “I mean,
my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don't care.
Look, I'm sorry that he's uncomfortable with it, and that's all I
can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind
of legal fuss. Just leave it be.”
