In a new interview with Oprah Winfrey
set for Tuesday, singer Ricky Martin is expected to talk for the
first time about coming out gay.
The thirty-eight-year-old Martin,
father of twin boys Valentino and Matteo, came out gay on a blog post
at his official website in March, but has not spoken publicly about
his decision.
The interview coincides with the
release of Martin's memoir Me, set to hit bookstores on
Tuesday. A Spanish version titled Yo! is also available.
In a preview, Oprah is seen asking
Martin, “Did you always feel that you were a homosexual man?” and
“Are you in a relationship now?” (The video is embedded in the
right panel of this page.)
The Livin' la Vida Loca singer
has previously said that writing his autobiography prompted him to
come clean about his sexuality.
On the program, Martin will also
perform his upcoming duet with Joss Stone. Martin sings The Best
Thing About Me Is You in English with Stone. And he's also
recorded a Spanish version with former Quinta Estacion star Natalia
Jimenez.
