The video for Pink's new single Raise
Your Glass will be set at a gay wedding. The single was released
Tuesday.
The openly bisexual, Grammy-winning
singer told Internet radio website InDemand.fm
that the video for the single will be set at a gay wedding.
“I will be celebrating a gay wedding
[in the video],” she told the website. “I am not the minister. …
There's so many [celebrations]. Of course, typical psychotic me,
it's 80,000 different things going on.”
Pink, 31, said filming of the video is
taking place this week. She added that it was inspired by real-life
events.
“I threw my best friend's wedding in
my backyard – [she] is gay and she married her wife, and it was
absolutely beautiful. At the end of it, her mom said, 'Why can't
this be legal?' and started crying. It was the most heartbreaking
thing I've ever seen, so that's why I'm doing it in my video.”
Raise Your Glass will be
included in the singer's Greatest Hits … So Far!!! album,
due out on November 16.
