Glee creator Ryan Murphy is reportedly considering pop singer Ricky Martin for a guest appearance on the Fox hit.

The openly gay Murphy told reporters at the UK premiere of the film Eat Pray Love, which he directed, that he would consider Martin for a guest appearance.

“I get calls all the time,” Murphy said. “I got a call driving down here 'Ricky Martin wants to be on the show. Will you meet with Ricky Martin?'”

“Yeah, I'll meet with Ricky Martin,” he said.

Pop star Britney Spears and actress Gwyneth Paltrow are among the celebrities appearing on the show this season.

Murphy also said he feared the show would be canceled after its second episode aired.

“Who ever thought that, you know, a bunch of misfit show choir losers would become a global thing,” he said. “I never did.”

Martin is expected to discuss his coming out gay in his new memoir Me, set to hit bookstores on November 2, and is reportedly working on a new studio album.
