Four comedians are set to give ABC's
The View a run for its gossip money in all-gay cabler Logo's
The
Gossip Queens.
The Gossip Queens will feature
prominent – and either gay or gay-friendly – comedians dishing on
the latest celebrities and news.
“The Gossip Queens features
four of America's funniest and most insightful comedians regarding
pop culture, entertainment news, and celebrity gossip,” Byron
Allen, founder and CEO of Entertainment Studios, which is producing
the show, said in a statement.
“The comedic hosts are joined by
various celebrity gossip bloggers and magazine editors who bring the
latest and greatest celebrity dish and gossip,” he explained.
The four hosts are openly-gay
actor-comedian Alec Mapa (Ugly Betty, NYPD Blue), America's
Sister star Loni Love, Chelsea Lately panelist Michelle
Collins and comedian Bernadette Pauley, a frequent guest on Sirius
Radio's Raw Dog channel.
The talker is “fresh, bold and
funny,” Allen said. “This show is simply unstoppable.”
The Gossip Queens premieres
Monday, September 20 in syndication and on MTV's Logo.
