True Blood newcomer Kevin
Alejandro says season 3 is going to be “really fuckin' sexy.”
Alejandro is the latest gay character
in Director Alan Ball's vampire drama airing on HBO.
He plays Jesus Velasquez, a Latino
orderly who becomes involved with flamboyant gay prostitute and blood
dealer Lafayette Reynolds.
Speaking
to gay glossy Out,
Alejandro talked about his character's love life: “Jesus is a nice
balance to Lafayette – the yin thing. They're opposites, but it
works. They keep each other in check.”
NBC was first to nab Alejandro for
their Los Angeles-based police drama Southland. The series,
which features television's gruff gay cop, training officer Jon
Cooper (played by Michael Cudlitz), will return for a third season on
cable network TNT, which picked up the show last year.
This season of True Blood,
Alejandro assures, is going to be “really fuckin' sexy.”
“I think it's going to open a lot of
eyes,” he adds.
The 34-year-old Mexican-American actor
also played gay on the second season of HBO's Big Love.
Alejandro married his wife Leslie in
2004 and the couple has one child.
