Rumors that season 14 The Bachelor
star Jake Pavelka might be gay have surfaced.
Two former reality stars have weighed
in on the controversy of Pavelka's sexual orientation after he broke
up with his fiance Vienna Girardi.
Pavelka, 32, proposed marriage to
Girardi, 24, on the season finale of the reality show. Confirmation
that the pair have split came earlier in the month.
“I'm saddened by the whole thing, but
sometimes love just isn't enough in a relationship,” Pavelka told
celebrity website TMZ. “No matter what happens, Vienna and I will
remain friends.”
Pavelka and Girardi agreed that their
love life suffered, leading to speculation that Pavelka might be gay.
Paul Rosseau, who appeared on season 4
of The Bachelorette, told
celebrity website Radar Online that he believes Pavelka has “gay
tendencies.”
“Not only because of the way he
dresses but also because he didn't want to have sex with a beautiful
girl and never really tried with the other girls on the show,” he
said, the added, “Nothing personal, Jake!”
A second reality star from season 12 of
The Bachelorette who preferred not to be named agreed: “I
think he has gay potential and definitely gay tendencies.”
