Hunky Reichen Lehmkuhl has denied
rumors he'll appear in gay cabler Logo's upcoming all-gay spinoff of
Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Lehmkuhl – who gained national
attention in 2006 dating singer Lance Bass – dismissed an April 16
Gawker
posting reporting that he and current beau Rodiney Santiago had
joined the cast of The Gay Socialites of New York.
“For those who
have been taken by the completely INCORRECT story by the imbecile at
Gawker.com who writes before he knows anything factual, who has had
his idiotic story picked up by the equally quick to print misinformed
people at Yahoo News and Queerty.com, I can save you from the ongoing
STUPIDITY (they seriously have no idea what they're talking about)
concerning their speculation on my possible involvement in a future
MTV production that may air on LOGO,” Lehmkuhl said
on his website.
“I wouldn't do a
show about being kept or keeping anyone, nor would Rodiney,” he
added.
The reality series,
scheduled to begin filming in May, will feature hunky men who have
landed a rich husband. A casting call for the show said producers
are looking for gay power couples who “have joined fabulous forces
to create the ultimate partnership” and who are “living the 'good
life' in the most fabulous city in the world – NYC.”
Lehmkuhl and former
partner Chip Arndt won CBS's Amazing Race in 2003. He also
appeared in all-gay cabler here!'s supernatural drama Dante's
Cove.
