Director Jason Bushman's first feature
film Hollywood,
Je T'aime
arrives on DVD December 8.
The film generated a strong buzz as it
toured gay film festivals this year after opening in June. Reviewers
also praised the film for its quirky sensibilities.
The film follows Parisian Jerome (Eric
Debets) as he runs away to Hollywood to escape a cheating boyfriend.
Brokenhearted Jerome yearns to be discovered in the City of Angels.
It happens in the most unusual way, but
not before Jerome walks on the beach with Ross, played by openly gay
actor Chad Allen (Save Me), and befriends some wacky
Angelenos, who provide a light-hearted distraction from Jerome's
problems.
In reviewing the film, Variety
said Bushman uses “kooky characters and situations to project a
positive yet honest depiction of gay life.”
