Gay icon Sir Elton John is out of the
hospital and on the mend at his home in the UK, Reuters
reported.
The sixty-two-year old performer
checked into the King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone, London on
October 30, where he was treated for a flu and an E. coli bacterial
infection.
John was released from the hospital
late Thursday. The singer's spokesman, Gary Farrow, told the news
service that the pop star was “fine” and would return to the
stage with Billy Joel on November 14.
Several England, U.S. and Ireland tour
dates were scrapped due to the performer's poor health. Sir Elton
last performed on October 27 in Barcelona, Spain.
