Gay icon Sir Elton John has been
hospitalized in a UK hospital, UK's Daily Mail reported.
The sixty-two-year-old performer's
spokesman confirmed that he is being treated for flu complications,
saying: “He has got an infection, flu and everything that goes with
it.”
Sir Elton was reportedly taken to the
King Edward VII Hospital in Marylebone, London on Friday, his
partner, David Furnish, at his side.
Several England and Ireland tour dates
have been scrapped due to the performer's poor health, but Sir Elton
did performer last Tuesday in Barcelona, Spain.
King Edward VII Hospital specializes in
caring for the Royal Family.
