There is a disproportionately large
percentage of gays who rely on a Dancing With The Stars fix.
For us, the news that ABC will sponsor a gay Dancing is good
news.
Starting Monday, Dancing judge
Bruno Tonioli will host Show and Tell, a dancing show where
gay stars are the main attraction.
The show features openly gay actors
Chad Allen (Save Me) and Robert Gant (Queer as Folk),
drag legend Lady Bunny, the transgender actress Candis Cayne (Dirty
Sexy Money) and the actress Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray).
The shows will appear on several
websites starting Monday, including Out.com
and ABC.com, and continue through mid-September, when Dancing
returns to ABC.
Show and Tell features Tonioli
as he choreographs the actors through dancing school, learning such
dances as the rumba, cha cha and foxtrot. In the premiere
webisode, Tonioli familiarizes Winokur with the dance of romance –
the waltz.
Gay Entertainment Report is a feature
