Appearing Thursday on The Ellen
DeGeneres Show, Broadway legend Idina Menzel reiterated her
support for the campaign to make Else a lesbian in Disney's upcoming
animated film Frozen 2.
Menzel, who voices the character, told
guest host Miley Cyrus the idea of giving Elsa a girlfriend was
“wonderful.”
“There's a campaign for Elsa to be a
lesbian [in Frozen 2],” Cyrus said. “I vote yes.”
“Me too,” Menzel
responded.
“Honestly, honestly I don't know, and
I'm a servant of Disney.”
“I think it's a wonderful idea. I
think it's a wonderful conversation that we should all have about
whether a Disney princess or queen could be gay,” she added. “I
can't promise anybody [a gay Elsa is] going to happen.”
Menzel previously announced her support
for the hashtag #GiveElsaAGirlfriend.
