A 34-year-old man who survived the June
12 mass shooting at Orlando's gay nightclub Pulse died unexpectedly
on Saturday.
According to the Tampa
Bay Times, Chris Brodman died while attending a friend's
birthday party in Tampa.
Attempts by paramedics to revive
Brodman were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead shortly after
emergency personnel found his body in the backyard of the Garden Lake
Circle home where the party was being held.
The cause of death is unknown. The
county's medical examiner is waiting on results from an autopsy to
determine how Brodman died.
Brodman's boyfriend, Cord Cedeno,
described Brodman as the “love of [his] life” in a Facebook post.
“I still can't believe my baby is
gone. I can't sleep. I can't breathe. I don't know how I'm going
to go on without him,” he
wrote.
Cedeno has started a
GoFundMe crowdfunding page to help pay for funeral costs.
