Out actor Robert Gant said in a recent
interview that he would be interested in a revival of the
groundbreaking Showtime hit Queer as Folk.
Gant, 48, played professor Ben Bruckner
in the gay drama, which was based on the British series of the same
name created by Russell T. Davies.
Queer as Folk was the first
American television series to portray the lives of gay men and
lesbians.
“I had an amazing experience being on
a hit show for Showtime, doing Queer as Folk, and impacting
things socially, like helping change hearts and minds,” Gant
told Entertainment
Weekly. “It's such a big chapter of my life.”
“The family dynamic that was created
there has really endured,” he said. “We've had these
conversations, and I know that everyone would be on board for some
sort of revival or another season or whatever. … So hopefully that
has a future.”
Gant can currently be seen in the new
Hallmark movie Summer of Dreams opposite Debbie Gibson.
