Viceland has released its first trailer
for the second season of its Emmy-nominated travel series Gaycation.
The series is co-hosted by out actress
Ellen Page and her best friend Ian Daniel.
In Gaycation, Page and Daniel
roam the globe in search of what it's like to be lesbian, gay,
bisexual or transgender.
“From the threat of the rising
far-right in Ukraine to the deep-rooted traditions of India, in
season two Ellen and Ian gain a deeper understanding of how queer
people navigate their identities around the globe,” producers said
of the upcoming season.
In Ukraine, they are told that
“homosexuality is simply a sin.” The pair also made stops in the
United States. In Georgia, a police officer tells them that hate
crimes happen on a daily basis.
“The goal is to share the stories
that never really get an opportunity to be heard,” Page says in the
trailer.
Gaycation returns September 7 at
10:30 PM on Viceland.
