Cher will join Hillary Clinton at a
Provincetown fundraiser later this month.
Cher will attend a “summer
celebration” in support of Clinton. Organizers are expecting a
crowd of 500 people to descend on Pilgrim Monument on August 21 for
the event, the Cape Cod Times reported.
“She's going to celebrate the amazing
diversity of Provincetown and our country,” Bryan Rafanelli, who is
co-hosting the event, told
the paper of Clinton.
“Going out 2give my support to
'HILL,'” Cher tweeted. “BEEN WITH HER 4 LONG TIME...SEE HOW
YOUNG WE LOOK [crying emoticon] 2 [girls emoticon] IN PROVINCETOWN
21st AUG.”
Tickets
remaining for the event start at $2,700 and go up to $27,000.
This is Clinton's second visit in a
year to the tiny resort town known as a travel destination for the
LGBT community.
