GLAAD announced on Wednesday that it will honor Hannah Hart at its upcoming GLAAD Gala San Francisco on Thursday, September 8.

GLAAD will present Hart with the group's Davidson/Valentini Award, which is presented to an LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality and acceptance of the LGBT community.

The 29-year-old Hart is best known for starring in her YouTube series My Drunk Kitchen.

“With more than 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube, Hannah is one of social media's most influential LGBT voices, consistently using her platform to build understanding and advance acceptance,” the group said in a Facebook post.

Hart is also the author of My Drunk Kitchen: A Guide to Eating, Drinking and Going With Your Gut, which became a New York Times bestseller.
