Caitlyn Jenner will play herself in the
third season of Amazon's Transparent.
Jill Soloway, the show's creator and
executive producer, announced in April that Jenner would join the
cast in the upcoming season but kept mum on what role Jenner would
play.
“She's herself,” Judith Light, who
plays Shelly Pfefferman on the show, told Entertainment
Tonight this week.
“It's perfect. What could be more
perfect? I'm not in that scene and I wasn't there the day that she
filmed, but what could be more perfect than having her as part of the
show?”
Jay Duplass, who plays Josh Pfefferman
on Transparent, told ET that having Jenner on the set was fun.
“People are nervous about how she
shows up on Transparent,” Duplass said. “All I can say is
that once they see it, they'll be really pleased, because it makes a
lot of sense the way that it happens.”
