In his new memoir Every Little Step,
Bobby Brown reveals that his ex-wife Whitney Houston was bisexual.
Brown told US
Weekly that rumors about Houston's sexuality were true.
“I know,” he said. “We were
married for 14 years. There are some things we talked about that
were personal to us.”
Houston, who died in 2012, was rumored
to be in a relationship with her best friend and assistant, Robyn
Crawford.
“I really feel that if Robyn was
accepted into Whitney's life, Whitney would still be alive today,”
Brown said. “She didn't have close friends with her anymore.”
A year after her death, Houston's
mother, Cissy Houston, told Oprah Winfrey that she did not like
Crawford and would have been bothered if her daughter were gay.
“It would have bothered you?”
Winfrey asked.
“Mmmm-hmmmm,” Houston answered.
“You wouldn't have like that?”
“Not at all,” she replied.
