Adam Lambert, Melissa Etheridge and Boy George were among the out celebrities paying tribute Thursday to music legend Prince.

The 57-year-old Prince was pronounced dead at 10:07 AM on Thursday, roughly 24 minutes after an unidentified man called 911 stating that the musician's body was found in an elevator in his home in Minnesota.

“Today is the worst day ever,” Boy George messaged. “Prince R.I.P. I am crying!”

“My life, love and music is more sexy and soulful because he lived and created,” tweeted Etheridge.

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres called Prince “brilliant and larger than life.” “What a sad day,” she messaged.

“So sad about Prince,” Lambert wrote. “You will be missed.”

Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted: “Prince was a true innovator and a singular artist. His music and influence will live on for generations. Rest in peace.”
