King Cobra, the James
Franco-produced film about the murder of adult film producer Bryan
Kocis, will premiere later this month at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The movie follows the early career of
Sean Paul Lockhart, who worked exclusively for Kocis' Cobra Video
under the name Brent Corrigan and was a key figure in Kocis' murder.
Joseph Kerekes and gay porn star Harlow
Cuadra were convicted of the 2007 murder of Kocis.
Cuadra and Kerekes, who produced their
own adult films, wanted Kocis to let Corrigan star in one of their
videos opposite Cuadra, but Kocis would not let his star model out of
his contract.
Garrett Clayton (Teen Beach)
plays Corrigan in the film, while Christian Slater takes on the role
of Kocis. Franco plays Kerekes in the movie. The film also stars
Keegan Allen and Molly Ringwald.
King Cobra premieres April 16.
