Actress-comedian Judy Gold on Friday
criticized Caitlyn Jenner's politics.
Last year, Jenner, a Republican, told
Ellen DeGeneres that she was once opposed to marriage rights for gay
and lesbian couples, then gave a lukewarm endorsement of marriage
equality. Within days, she penned a column in which she said that
“after hearing from my gay friends and learning about the hardships
they faced because of discrimination, it became clear to me that
everyone should be able to marry the person they love.”
“The GLBT, you know, the gays and
lesbians are the ones who fought for her to have these rights and be
treated like a human being,” Gold said in reference to Jenner's
stand on marriage during an appearance on SiriusXM's Opie Radio.
Gold also criticized Jenner for her
support of Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who is in a heated primary for the
GOP presidential nomination. In a recent interview, Jenner said she
“likes” Cruz for president and offered to serve as Cruz's “trans
ambassador.”

“And the Ted Cruz thing,” Gold
started. “Ted Cruz … hates her. I mean, doesn't want her to
have any rights at all. Doesn't believe that gays should have any
rights.”
“Oh, this is my favorite. She said
that Hillary Clinton has done nothing for women. Oh really! You've
gained a lot of insight in the seven months that you've been a
female. … You haven't lived in this world as a woman, you have no
fucking idea,” Gold said.
Jenner made her comments about Clinton
during a recent episode of her E! reality series I Am Cait.
Other celebrities who have denounced
Jenner's most recent comments include tennis great Martina
Navratilova and country singer Chely Wright, both of whom are
lesbian.
