Anti-gay activist Scott Lively has
named Brian Camenker of the militant MassResistance as the “2015
Pro-Family Hero of the Year,” an award which comes with a $500
donation.
Camenker has described the LGBT rights
movement as the enemy.
“I think there is a place for being
insulting and degrading,” he recently said. “And I think I can
back that up by Scripture. I think we have to look at this as a war,
not as, you know, a church service.”
Gay rights advocates, Camenker said,
“would send us to concentration camps if they could.”

Lively also named 10 “pro-family
heroes of 2015,” including Mat Staver, who is representing Kentucky
clerk Kim Davis in her legal fight to keep her office from issuing
marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples, and Peter LaBarbera,
head of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH).
Theodore Shoebat was among those given
an honorable mention.
Right
Wing Watch said of Shoebat's inclusion: “Theodore Shoebat is,
of course, a truly deranged anti-gay activist who has openly and
repeatedly called for a “global inquisition” to force gay people
to either submit to Christianity or be put
to death.”
