In a cover story for L'Uomo Vogue,
Nick Jonas talks about his gay roles.
The 23-year-old Jonas currently plays
gay in two television series.
On DirecTV's Kingdom, now in its
second season, Jonas plays MMA fighter Nate Kulina, while on Fox's
horror-comedy Scream Queens he plays Boone, a member of the
Dickie Dollar Scholars.
“It's an honor, but I don't think of
myself as an icon,” Jonas
said of his role on Kingdom. “There should be a lot
more straight artists who don't have a problem with having gay fans.
I'm really proud to play gay characters and I'll continue to do so.
I think it's among the challenges of maturing as an actor.”
Jonas also names Kevin Spacey, Daniel
Craig and Daniel Day Lewis as his role models.
