Olympian Gus Kenworthy says that
Caitlyn Jenner inspired him to come out.
The 24-year-old British-born American
freestyle skier won the silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in
Sochi, Russia.
He recently came out gay in a cover
story for ESPN Magazine.
Kenworthy was interviewed while getting
a haircut by social media star and hair stylist Kyle Krieger.
“Caitlyn Jenner's story had a big
impact on me,” Kenworthy said. “I remember that there was a
point where I was already thinking about coming out and then I saw
that and I was like, 'Holy shit.' If she can do that with the world
watching and way more an amplified way than my life. I was like,
'That's definitely' – it was encouraging for me and I feel that
people were really supportive.”
Kenworthy also revealed that he's
uncut.
