Allstate has released a web commercial
that features a recently married gay male couple and their daughter.
In 2-minute ad, which is part of
Allstate's Here's to Firsts campaign, viewers are introduced to Danny
and Andrew and their daughter Nora Alice.
“The year has flown by so quickly,”
Danny says. “And we've had a lot of memorable firsts. A year ago
we didn't even know we were going to be parents.”
“The second we held her I knew that
she was ours,” he adds.
“Celebrating the holidays with family
I think it's brought everyone closer,” Andrew says.
“Within our lifetime we have gotten
married and had a child. Twenty years ago that wouldn't have
happened,” Danny says.
Allstate is the latest company to use
gay couples in their ads; recent examples include Nordstrom,
Kohl's,
Famous
Footwear and Campbell's
Soup.
