Cabler TLC has ordered a second season
of I Am Jazz, the reality series that revolves around the
lives of 15-year-old transgender activist Jazz Jennings and her
family.
The show follows Jennings as she
juggles high school, dating and personal appearances.
Also appearing on the program are
Jazz's parents Greg and Jeanette, siblings Ari, Griffen and Sander,
and her maternal grandparents Jack and Jacky.
According to The Hollywood Reporter,
the show's second season will consist of eight hourlong episodes.
Last week, a school in Wisconsin
canceled a reading of Jennings' children's book, also titled I Am
Jazz, after a group of parents represented by the Christian
conservative group Liberty Counsel threatened to sue the school,
calling the reading a “propaganda session.”
