Olympian Gus Kenworthy, who came out
gay on the cover of last week's ESPN Magazine, shut down a
Twitter troll who wanted to know whether he was “the woman in the
relationship.”
The 24-year-old British-born American
freestyle skier won the silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in
Sochi, Russia.
Just days after coming out, a random
Twitter user asked: “Are you the man or the woman in the
relationship? That's all I need to know right now.”
“In a relationship I am the man. As
is the other man. I'm gay. Not trying to emulate a heterosexual
relationship,” Kenworthy responded.
Kenworthy's
tweet was favorited and retweeted more than 9,000 times.
Another tweet that got lots of
attention included a shirtless photo Kenworthy posted of himself
dressed as a mouse for Halloween.
