support for GLAAD's Spirit Day.
The 6th annual Spirit Day
supports efforts to combat the bullying of LGBT teens. Supporters
are encouraged to wear purple.
“Go PURPLE now and take a stand
against bullying for #SpiritDay,” tweeted Jazz Jennings, star of
TLC's I Am Jazz.
Actress Teri Polo (The Fosters)
messaged: “Don't just think it, don't just feel it, BE love!!!
#SpiritDay”
Matt Bomer (American Horror Story:
Hotel) and Daniel Franzese (Looking) urged followers to
“go purple for #SpiritDay!” “Because every kid should feel
safe at school!” Franzese added.
I Am Cait star Caitlyn Jenner
tweeted a photo of herself with purple painted nails.
“Be kind to one another #Spirit Day,”
Ellen DeGeneres said.
