Trevor Moran, a YouTube star with
nearly 1 million subscribers, announced in a video posted last week
that he's gay.
“So basically, if it's a shocker to
any of you, I'm gay,” said Moran, 17. “Whew, that was hard.
That was hard to say to the camera, dude.”
In his 6-minute video, Moran said that
he was “frightened by the word gay” at first, but is now
comfortable with his sexuality.
Moran first hinted that he might be gay
in his music video for I Wanna Fly, in which his character is
separated by a dark authority from being with another man.
Soon after he was eliminated from The
X Factor in 2012, Moran released his first single, Someone.
In 2014, he won the Teen Choice Awards in the Choice Web Star:
Comedy category.
