The women of ABC's The View on
Tuesday weighed in on the controversy surrounding Kentucky county
clerk Kim Davis.
Co-host Paula Faris discussed her
interview with Davis during the show's Hot Topics segment.
Despite being found in contempt and
serving five days in jail, Davis told Faris that she will continue to
defy the Supreme Court's ruling striking down gay marriage bans
nationwide.

“God can guide her wherever he needs
her to be, but as long as she's working for the federal government of
the United States of America, she is also bound to that job,”
Whoopi
Goldberg said. “If she can't do her job, she should go
somewhere else and do another job.”
Faris pointed out that Davis has wide
support in her county and that her $80,000 salary eclipses the
county's $14,000 average.
In her interview with Faris, Davis also
declared that she has gay friends.
“It's still very suspicious to me,
like, 'I have gay friends.' It's like, 'Do you Kim Davis?' Because
I would love to meet them,” co-host Michelle Collins said.
