Singer Kate Pierson, one of the
co-founders of The B-52s, married her longtime girlfriend Monica
Coleman last weekend in Hawaii.
The brides, who began dating in 2003,
shared the news on Facebook
Tuesday.
“Married now!” Pierson captioned a
photo of the couple.
“Coleman wore a silk gown in a dusty
gold color and Pierson wore a pink silk and tulle dress,”
PEOPLE.com
reported. “Both women opted to accessorize with traditional
Hawaiian leis.”
According to E!
News, wedding guests included the other members of The B-52s.
Singer Sia and her husband Erik Anders Lang served as witnesses.
Fred Schneider, frontman for The B-52s, made the best man speech.
The 67-year-old Pierson released her
first solo album, Guitars
and Microphones, in February.
