Singer-actor Nick Jonas will headline
next month's annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Party.
According to The
Daily Telegraph, the event will also feature performances by
Jessica Mauboy, Jake Sheers, Dan Murphy, Betty Who, Courtney Act,
David Morales and Paul Mac.
“I will be making my first appearance
in Australia at Mardi Gras,” Jonas announced in a radio interview.
“I am so excited to perform, I know
Mardi Gras is an amazing night and whole thing and I am just
thrilled.”
The Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
Party follows the Mardi Gras Parade on March 7.
Jonas currently plays Nate Kulina, a
gay MMA fighter, on DirecTV's Kingdom, which returns for its
second season in the spring.
He recently told BuzzFeed that he is
proud of the role.
