Actor Barry Williams recently suggested “going transgender” to promote his upcoming reality show.

The 60-year-old Williams is best know for playing Greg Brady for five seasons on the ABC series The Brady Bunch.

In A Very Barry Branson, Williams trades in Hollywood for Branson, Missouri, where he performs his 70s Music Celebration! musical variety show.

During a HuffPost Live appearance to plug the upcoming Great American Country original series, Williams attempted to deflect rumors about his own personal life by making a joke about Bruce Jenner.

“I want to find out if Bruce Jenner's gonna become a woman or not,” Williams stammered.

“I think you're going to find out pretty soon,” host Ricky Camilleri replied. “That's the kind of gossip you're interested in.”

“That guy is committed. He is committed to promoting himself. And I'm thinking, maybe, I don't know, I could say, I'm just saying, If this thing doesn't work, and the series isn't doing as well as I want, I'm going transgender.”

“I think it's a much more emotional process than people like to give credit for,” Camilleri said.

“I'm an actor,” Williams replied with a shrug. “I can handle it.”
