Lady Gaga invited a fan onto the stage
at the ARTPOP Ball in Manchester, England to propose to his
boyfriend.
Gaga described Jay as “family and an
incredible man and incredible fan” before handing over the mic to
him.
“I'm not sure, Shaun, but I think Jay
might have something to ask you,” Gaga said.
Much to his surprise, Jay got down on
one knee and proposed. Shaun said, “yes.”
The couple remained on the stage as
Gaga performed Born This Way.
She told the audience: “My record
label, a long time ago, they told me that my show is too gay and I
was too gay or this was too gay. I told them, 'Well, it's a great
thing that there are gay people all over the world!' Real human
beings with real dreams and real stories and you deserve to love and
express your love the same as everybody around the world . I wish
