Actress Pauley Perrette has joined the
Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) Americans for Marriage Equality
campaign.
In a 1-minute clip released Friday, the
45-year-old Perrette says that she support marriage equality because
“everyone should be able to love and marry whoever they want.”
“Equality to me is much more than a
goal to achieve,” Perrette said. “Equality to me is the very
foundation that this great nation is built on. Equality to me is
everyone having the same legal rights now.”
“I've been through a lot in the way
of love, for better or worse, but what will never change is my belief
that everyone should be able to love and marry whoever they want.
Everyone should be able to show their love and commitment through a
wedding vow,” she added. (The video is embedded on this page.

In 2011, Perrette, who is best known
for playing Abby Sciuto on the CBS drama NCIS, made a
statement in support of gay rights when she attended the
People's Choice Awards wearing a strapless “NOH8” dress.
