MTV and Logo TV on Thursday released a
trailer for the upcoming documentary Laverne Cox Presents: The T
Word.
The 1-hour documentary is hosted and
produced by Laverne Cox, the actress (Orange is the New Black)
and transgender advocate.
“We'll follow the courageous lives of
young trans people. From the moment of realization to dating, family
and the often dangerous obstacles they faced on the path to self
-discovery,” Cox says in the 30-second clip. (The video is

Seven transgender youth from across the
country are featured in the film, which will simultaneously premiere
on MTV and Logo TV on October 17 to coincide with Spirit Day, which
takes place on October 16.

Park will host an hour-long Trans Forum to be broadcast
immediately following the documentary's premiere.
