Christian conservative and independent
Massachusetts gubernatorial candidate Scott Lively has warned that
the recent coming out of Christian rock star Vicky Beeching will lead
to attacks against Christians.
Soon after her coming out, Beeching and
Lively squared off on British television.
“I'm very sorry to hear that
[Beeching] has given in to the lie that she is a homosexual instead
of continuing to try to overcome the challenge that is in her life,”
Lively said during the Channel 4 satellite appearance.
Beeching rejected Lively's assertion
that she has given “in to the lie” and said that she had acted
“so that young people don't have to listen to the kind of teaching
that you peddle, because it damages.”

Lively continued his attacks in an
interview with WorldNetDaily (WND), saying
that Beeching represent “the drawing back of the tide before a
tsunami” consisting of “attacks on Christians in America like
we've never seen before.”
With church insiders such as Beeching
on the offensive, Lively said, “battle-hardened activists” will
now target their “enormous” resources at an unprepared church.
