Christian conservative Linda Harvey has
criticized the growing acceptance of the idea that people can be
Christian and gay.
During an appearance on AFA's Today's
Issues, Harvey, the founder of the Columbus, Ohio-based Mission
America and a frequent contributor to the conservative website
WND.com, and host Ed Vitagliano discussed the recent coming out
Christian rock star Vicky Beeching.

Vicky Beeching comes out; Tells Scott Lively his anti-gay rhetoric is
“damaging.”)
“I shudder for them,” she said of
gay Christians as well as “ex-gay” Christians who renounce
“ex-gay” therapy.
“We have to stop giving homosexuality
special sin status,” Harvey warned, as if “that struggle is
somehow different than the sin struggles of a lot of people for a lot
of things and ultimately we come down on the side of what does God
want me to do.”
When people believe that “homosexuality
is fine,” Harvey said, they are basically “thumbing” their
noses “in the face of God, and that is not a good position to be
in.” (The video is embedded on this page. Visit
