Sears on Friday released a video promoting the weddings of four gay couples which took place aboard a Gay Pride float in Chicago's annual parade sponsored by the retail giant.

An Illinois law allowing gay and lesbian couples to marry took effect on June 1, making this year's Chicago Gay Pride Parade the first to celebrate legal marriages for gay couples in the state.

The four couples – two of which are lesbian – were profiled in the nearly 2-and-a-half-minute video, titled Sears: Proud to Give More To All.

“I'm feeling great,” one of the men says. “Really excited to get it started and get these rings on our fingers. I think everything has to do with timing. And I think this is the right time.”

“I'm married,” another man says after the ceremony. “I'm happy. I'm just happy.” (The video is embedded on this page. Visit our video library for more videos.)
