MTV has renewed Faking It for a second season.

According to Deadline.com, MTV has ordered a 10-episode second season of the comedy series.

In Faking It, which airs its season one finale on Tuesday, two teens fake being a lesbian couple in order to gain popularity. Only problem is, one of the girls isn't so sure she's faking it.

Amy (played by Rita Volk) and Karma (Katie Stevens) are unpopular at Hester High, despite their best efforts. When the best friends are mistakenly outed as lesbians at a party thrown by Shane (Michael Willett), their popularity soars. They continue the charade to remain in the school's “in” crowd.

Meanwhile, Amy confesses to Shane, the most popular boy at Hester High, who also happens to be gay, that she might have feelings for Karma.

The series is MTV's highest-rated new series so far this year.

Full episodes of Faking It are available at MTV.com 30 days after airing.
