Fashion model Geena Rocero, who came
out transgender earlier this year on the International Transgender Day of
Visibility, greeted parade-goers enjoying Saturday's Capital Pride
Parade.
Washington, D.C.'s annual two-day Gay
Pride event wraps up Sunday with a festival expected to draw some
200,000 people.
This year's parade was sponsored by
Marriott. The hotel chain last week also launched a campaign aimed
at the LGBT market, titled #LoveTravels.
Marriott hired celebrated photographer
Braden Summers to create a portrait series featuring such notables as
NBA player Jason Collins and Rocero. The portraits were used to wrap
the company's five D.C. properties.
