Anti-gay activist Peter LaBarbera,
president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), claims
gay men cannot be masculine, because “masculine men do not have sex
with other men.”
LaBarbera made his comments during an
interview with former Infowars reporter David Ortiz.
Ortiz asserted that “you cannot be a
masculine nation and support homosexuality.”
“The moment you cave in to moral
relativism, where it's not about values, it's about love, you open up
a whole other Pandora’s Box,” Ortiz said. “Why can't a man
sexually relieve himself next to you on a bus stop as long as he's
not groaning, as long as he cleans up after himself? Hey, you're
getting in the way of his sexual freedom. How dare you? Why are you
so anti-sexual freedom?”
LaBarbera meandered back a bit, saying
he agreed with the nation's “masculinity crisis.”
“I'm writing a story about this huge
event in Chicago called International Mr. Leather, where all these
guys dress up as tough guys. To me it's like faux masculinity,”
LaBarbera
said.
“It's fake masculinity. And tough
guy, homosexual masculinity, it's not the real deal. Masculine men
do not have sex with other men,” he added. (The video is embedded
