Jennifer Hudson says she's “excited”
to headline Chicago Pride Fest, the Windy City's annual 2-day street
festival which takes place the weekend before the city's annual Pride
Parade in June.
The 32-year-old Hudson discussed her
Saturday, June 21 performance with ChicagoPride.com.
When asked, “How would you describe
what your LGBT fans mean to you?” Hudson
replied: “Oh, my God! I would have to say everything. That's
where I started. I always say it was the gay community that loved me
first. It feels good to come full circle and get back into that. I
am so excited!”
“Chicago is home. Obviously, family,
and it's all I know. I don't care where I go in the world, there is
no place like home. Every time I come home, I get to come home to
Chicago.”
Hudson added that she would love -
“with bells on, honey” – to be a guest judge on Logo's RuPaul's
Drag Race.
Also scheduled to appear in Chicago
next month are Alex Newell, Mya, Thelma Houston and Betty Who.
