Singer-songwriter Melisa Etheridge
performed Uprising of Love with members of the Gay Men's
Chorus of Los Angeles during Saturday's Voice Awards.
The Voice Awards, now in its third
year, honors leaders who use their voice for social change and
equality.
Last year, Etheridge and Bruce Cohen
co-founded the Uprising of Love Foundation to support the Russian
Freedom Fund, a vehicle for making financial contributions in support
of Russia's LGBT rights movement and efforts to combat anti-gay
discrimination in the former Soviet Republic.
Etheridge and Cohen were among those
honored at Saturday's event.
