Not Looking, the series
parodying the HBO gay drama Looking, arrived on YouTube
Tuesday.
While Looking takes a peek at
the lives of three gay friends living in San Francisco, Not
Looking is set in Los Angeles.
The 5-part web series, originally
released on Funny or Die, was quickly funded through a Kickstarter
campaign following the successful release of a trailer for the show.
The show starts with a close up on
Parker (played by Jason Looney) as he's talking on a phone.
“I've been in LA three whole years
and I still haven't found a single guy worth mentioning. It seems
like all the guys are either already taken or that some boys just
aren't willing to give you the time of day or that some men have
allowed themselves to become creepy monsters. What should I do?
Pull a Britney? Shave my head? Move to Vegas? Or do I settle on
in, stop looking for Mr. Right. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
I don't know.”
“But what I do know is this: I would
like an order of cheesy bread and a 2-liter Diet Coke, because mama
is thirsty,” he adds.
Not Looking also co-stars Drew
Droege (of the Chloe
web series), Jeremy Shane and Justin Martindale, with guest
appearances by Lance Bass and Jai Rodriguez.
