Former 'NSyncer Lance Bass, Broadway actress Andrea McArdle and R&B recording artist the Pointer Sisters will headline the 2014 Gay Games Opening Ceremony to be held on August 9 at Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.

The sports and cultural festival is slated to take place in venues throughout Cleveland and Akron.

“I'm very excited to have such a great lineup of artists joining our cast of more than 400 performers,” Patrick Roberge, producer of the event, said in a statement. “The Opening Ceremony will be a grand celebration that will set the tone for a fantastic Games.”

“The Opening Ceremony will be an experience like none other,” added Opening Ceremony Co-Chair Bill Guentzler. “We're thrilled to have such great celebrity talent joining us to celebrate the thousands of athletes and artists participating in the Games.”
