A gas station owner in Georgia is under
fire after he posted a sign that says “only f*gs wear their pants
down”
“ONLY 'FAGS' LIKE TO KEEP THEIR PANTS
DOWN!!!! PULL YOUR PANTS UP!!! OR BE PROUD TO BE “A FAG”!!!!”
reads the sign posted Thursday at the PCA Food Store in LaGrange on
Hogansville Road.
Owner Anil Patel told Atlanta's
WSB-TV that he posted the sign because he was offended by
customers who wear sagging pants.
“Since that sign went up there, I
don't see no pants down in my store,” he explained. “Because
they read the sign and they decide what they want to be.”
“It really offends me by them coming
in [to the store], pants down. So, it is not that I'm against them,
gay people or anything like that, but just trying to prove a point.
If you are going to come in my store, make sure that you have your
pants on.”
A clerk at the store, Kerrie Williams,
said she's gay and okay with the sign.
Joshua Southern, on the other hand,
said he would no longer shop at the store.
“There is other ways to deal with
it,” he said. “You say, 'Pull your pants up. Nobody wants to
see your butt.'”
